These can be easily, if not cheaply, retrofitted.

My car has had a lot of work done under warranty in my first year of ownership but I think it's partly due to the change in ownership profile.
I suspect the cars are now falling into the hands of enthusiasts who know when something is wrong and more importantly want it right.
New perhaps these cars had a large percentage of owners who weren't quite so interested in the cars?
Certainly many of my rectifications were issues that would have been easy fixes if noted and addressed early on.
My dealership service manager did make the point that RS4 owners are now far more demanding!

Probably would open the market up, but i don't really wnat to go through the hassel of having things like the window changed etc...
The main problem I am finding is not th spec so much its really the condition of the cars, car that have been repaired badly, bad paint job, over spray, areas like a pilars and b pilars that have been painted. Are there any out there that haven't been in an accident?

Dubel, I completely simpathise.

I've looked at over 10 Avants - either poor spec, average condition at main dealer prices, leaking shocks.....the list goes on.

Started looking at saloons (there's a lovely white saloon with carbon roof on PH if anyone is looking for something different) but the missus is insisting on an Avant and I want a particular spec. Black optics, fbsw, satnav, buckets grey, silver, blue and under 50k miles.
Driving a Smart every day is hard work and after a month I think the shock of the RS4 power will strain my neck under load!

Not giving up hope but need to get sorted soon or i'm gonna crack up.
