So Petrol Dave - are you happy with the 0090 over the 0080?? Any downsides??

If the injection and spark timing strategy is different it can affect how forcefully the spent gasses are expelled from the cylinder, and hence affect the exhaust note at all times.

It's definitely there as others have mentioned, and as my wife, brother and sister-in-law can confirm.
So Sonny, overall - was the upgrade to SW0090 worth it? Mines is booked in for same but only due to the cold start stuttering which is pissing me off - kangaroing along the road after leaving my drive (wasn't a prob on last commute as car was stationary for 3-4 mins prior to starting journey).
.
Overall, yes, however, I have had 3 remaps on my car over the past 2 years so I have never driven on the SW long enough to comment. I’m happy with the configuration of the MRC Custom and SW0090. The higher cold start idle is a little too loud sometimes with the full Milltek as it idles higher.

Cheers sonny, going to get it added anyway - see what happens. Luckily I don't care about the neighbours so not to worried about the excessive noice.

dont care about your neighbours....are they english.. i had the software updated from 80 to 90 about a year ago, and like most have said does make the car run more smooth on first/cold start.. imo defo worth doing.

Yes I'm very happy.

I guess the only downside is that after a cold start the initial fast idle is up at 1600rpm, which is higher than with 0080 which was around 1100rpm - but that's still a lot lower than the equivalent on a Lotus Esprit Turbo SE which was 3000+rpm (to get the cats to light up fast and meet the emissions regs).

Sounds like one of my neighbours - we call them Mr & Mrs Grump because all they do is moan - to each other, to their neighbours, to their friends and family... They're not happy unless they're unhappy!
