Caught speeding at 107mph...

The first letter, if you get one, will not be sent registerd post. So you didn't get it.
Check ALL the details in the letter for any mistakes, date, time am/pm, place, car reg, spelling of your name etc.
Second letter if not sent registered post, you didn't get that either.
When you eventually do get a registered letter, send it back at the latest possible time they state you have to. If you have been caught on a speed gun/vascar/radar trap ask for a copy of when it was last calibrated. You have a right to know this and there are time limits between each test that have to be carried out, by law, for them to be legal.
You then want evidence that the officer who caught you speeding is officially and properly trained to use the equipment.
When you get your court appearance date, immediately buy the cheapest airfare you can to anywhere from your local airport for that date.
Send in by recordrd delivery, once again, as late as possible, a copy of the ticket asking if you could be given an alternative date as you will be out of the country that day. You can do this only once or they smell a rat.
The idea is that all the time you are running down the time they have to get you to court and prosecute you.
Send everything to them by recorded post
Good luck
I like it.

I suspect they may prove that you bought the ticket to go away on the day you would be deemed to have received the date of the court appearance. And would try and get you on perverting the course of justice etc.
Sorry, should have said you didn't buy the ticket, your wife/girlfriend/lover/mother bought them as a surprise for a few days away together. You haven't told them about your pending court appearance.
Yes a friend of mine did use this tactic and the case against him ran out of time.

I have freeman on board. Nothing can be done until and if a I get a court summons though the door. They confirmed that there are lots of mitigations that can be played against the CPS. Training, calibration, # hours worked by the officer using the gun, weather, objects on road, other vehicles in line of sight etc.
They did state that as I have not been asked to sign anything, they have zero mitigating evidence on their side apart from a possible picture form the laser gun.
Waiting game I fear...

They have 6 months for the CPS to send a summons so it will just be a waiting game now.
Ignoring until it goes recorded delivery is good advice & I know someone who this worked for (can only follow up a certain percentage of these) but the CPS only have to show they have made a reasoable effort to get a summons to you within 6 months. If you fail to show up in court they will eventually issue a warrant for your arrest so whilst being out of the country for the whole 6 months would be a good excuse not to get locked up I am sure the case would either go ahead in your absence or go ahead when you were back with the CPS having made a reasonable effort to get a summons to you.
It is the same for speed cameras they just have to show have posted within 14days including a day to get to you by 1st class post, if you don't get the letter for any reason or is a company car so takes weeks to get to you that is just your bad luck.
