I asked the question of Steve Sutcliffe plus threw in a C6 RS6 in as well, let's see what he says.

do you think that your rs4 could do better ? ha ha ha ha ha.....
the difference is that with some euro you can buy a 400hp remap and the difference vs a V10 will be much less than what you can think ;)

btw ttrs vs v10 is not a fair battle..... why not rs4 vs lambo 560 ?!?
remeber that i have both cars so i know exactly the defference between them.

So by your logic then an RS4 would be better if it is bang for buck because a 3 year old low mileage RS4 like the OP suggested vs a TTRS at still late 40's early 50's used (more new) plus remap value means the RS4 is virtually double the bang for buck value.

That's the turbo kick fooling you into thinking the TTRS is faster - it's not, but the kick is perceived by your senses as "more" than the linear power/torque delivery of the RS4's V8.

Tbh I'm not that interested in how much faster or not the TTRS tuned or not is. It's a turbocharged car and is obviously far easier to tune for power.
I wanted V8 power delivery, having done turbos, and the legendary RS4 handling and driver involvement. I also love the look of the RS4.

With new TTRS budget, for 4wd and turbo power my money would be heading for used GTR I'm afraid...

If the OP wanted something fast and with forced induction, for the same price as a new TTRS with a few bits get the 3 year old low milege RS4 with a few bits and an Ariel Atom II supercharged if that is the budget we are talking about. Job done.

already posted the link with times... 0-200 14.9 (tuned) starting on wet is more than an impression
after 200kmh the ttrs also unengage the rear weels and you can feel the extra power. low Cx and small front section also help the max speed.
250 to 310 ( 295 gps ) it's a dream , only the needle into the red and then the rpm limiter will stop your run....
to move the rpm limiter too could be an idea... but i dont like this kind of mod.

does the TT RS use the hadlex 4wd system from the standard TT, or do they attach a 'proper' torsen type ?
