I bought an RS04 plate the day I ordered my RS4, so it was ready and waiting when the car arrived. Just handed the paperwork to the Audi dealer (Camberley Audi) and they did the rest.
Only had 1 person think it was a 2004 car - a parking valet near the Royal Opera House!

Gone: 2006 B7 RS4 Avant (Phantom Black)
If any thing it also hides the age of the car, could it be a 07 or a ealy 08 model?PetrolDave wrote:I bought an RS04 plate the day I ordered my RS4, so it was ready and waiting when the car arrived. Just handed the paperwork to the Audi dealer (Camberley Audi) and they did the rest.

Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar
Well you lot got me thinking !!
So much so i've just bought the registration RSO5 BYE for £250 inc. from the DVLA website and i think it's cheap !!
Other RSO5 numbers were on sale for £699
Will just wait for the RS5 to be launched in the UK and will stick it in the Sunday Times motoring section, got to be worth a grand or more !!

Slightly off-topic, but relevant to the last couple of posts re: buying a plate in advance - I have in my posession on a certificate of entitlement M5 KRU, as I was originally gonna get an M5. I bought it at the same time I bought V8 KRU which I had on my old A6 4.2 Quattro. Of course I went from there to an S8 and then the RS6, so still have the M5 KRU plate. Everytime I look at the certificate, rather than thinking 'hmm, shall I sell it..?', I think 'hmm, shall I look at M5s..'. How ballsed-up logic is that.
Shall I put it on the '6 for a laugh?
Soz, that's twice I've hi-jacked now. I'll get me coat..

You'd get pulled sharpish by plod...esp up my way. They even moan about the spacing on plates.Petrolthreads wrote:I was messing around with RS04 plates on the DVLA stand at the Autosport/Pistonheads show, and this thread has convinced me I think, what about it in Black and Silver plates on a black avant, anyone done it?
