Potential RS4 buyer, questions / advice / persuasion request
Interesting. At the moment the closest Audi dealers with RS4's are cardiff (1) and Newbury (4!).
Do you think you would get better service by taking the vehicle back to the same garage as you bought it from (assuming you bought it from Audi UK), or does the left hand not know what the right is selling?

I'm from Newcastle on Tyne like P G. I was looking for a very specific young RS4 in Sprint blue with flat bottomed steering wheel, sat nav and buckets. Eventually found my car at Preston Audi dealership, had just been put on Audi used car locator, 6 months old, one owner snapped it up. As P G has stated he advised me where to go and the name of the technician to use, he did a thorough job and my car is running SUPERBLY.
As I have said before, i'm going to keep this car for the long haul and pay the running costs and accept the depreciation, I'm not even LOOKING at anything else, it ticks all the boxes for me and I still look forward to driving it every day.

Of course! Although I think I prefered the black one in Newbury!
I have a slight concern about space available for my left leg - im 6'5" and find there is little space between the steering wheel and the console - I find I have to rest it against the console, and only just have space for my knuckles to pass when turing. With only two short test drives, im not certain if that is going to annoy me in the long term. It is less comfortable than my ST. Ive obviously done a bit of steering column and seat adjustment, but you dont really have time to set it all correct when you have a salesman breathing down your neck! Maybe there is a combination of adjustments that will mean I can fit properly!
I now know I definately need one with the sports seats; unless the lower bolsters on the buckets can be significently adjusted (you know, big hip bones
). Unfortunetely this significently reduces my choice, as most have the buckets.

Hi! I'm 6'1" and I find the easiest and best position seems to be to drop the bucket seats all the way down, tilt the backrest to a reasonable position and start pushing the seats back until you find the most comfortable driving position. Initial feel was that it was not as good as the GTI MKV, but after a while, it really works and you'd love it!bn8959 wrote:Of course! Although I think I prefered the black one in Newbury!

On lower bolster, if I'm not wrong on the the section you're referring to, the 1st toggle switch (up/down) on the side of the seat can be used to deflate the bolster to create a less snug fit at that section. Make sure to leave some spare room as when it goes into Sports mode, it will tighten up effectively squishing the ermm......posterior?
