Yeah your right the M5 took me by suprise and he was a looney as regards to road safety.
I've re read my first post and it does seem a bit off putting (appoligies) it wasnt the intension.
I'm too an ex biker and club racer and agree there's no thrill like a bike. I've looked at the M5 but its not to my taste and the RS4 is an awesome machine and will be staying for a while.

Jesus, whats happening? Where are the mods when you want them? Surely that poster has to be taken off, what the hell has that got to do with a RS4 and an M5, even if it had it's still extremely offensive and not something that I would expect to see on this forum.

Guys chill, this is getting pretty serious....in a nut shell, I think most of us could have bought an M5, I was thinking of the M6. I test drove it last september, and I found that although the car was seriously quick, it lost a lot of traction off the mark, and the handling was no where near an RS4. RS4 for me is a cult machine, understated, yet a real drivers car. U go to Norway or Switzerland, and u will see the way people worship Audi Quattros there, RS4 is just another level.
I have raced ferraris, M3 and an M5, and won at bends.....two cars are very different, u just cant compare.

I'd like to add the B7 is 1 second quicker than the M5 around Top Gear's track too....
