No, that's the version of the map DVD only - nothing to do with the engine ECU at all.

It's as if the system can't cope with the high revs when the engine's cold, if it misses slightly. Turning off and restarting has cleared the problem each time, but I guess I should have it looked at. Anyone else had this?
Touch wood, i've had no problems since 0090 was installed, infact the car runs better.

I've definitely lost that big kick that I used to get at 5000rpm and I can't find it at 5600 either - although trying to find an adequate piece of road would be nice!

Yeah, seriously I was going to ask that question! Ive just been upgraded to 0080 and lost that kick at 5500, its still damn quick, just feels very different now, much smoother - not sure if I like it so much yet

It's moved to 6000rpm on mine...although, I think it's a smaller kick than before but it feels quicker by the time you get there if you know what I mean? There seems to be more power before I reach 6000rpm now, it just feels sharper everywhere. Initially I missed that big kick at 5000 but I think, overall it's an improvement. Could really do with a side by side comparison! :?

I see what you mean. I havent had the opportunity to properly give it some beans since the update. Also my exhaust valves are playing up and are not opening, so that's probably chocking it a bit at high revs. I think it picks up power delivery at about 3000rpm at lot more now. Need to play more!

Thought I'd dig up an old thread rather than start a new one...

Considering this is a year old and more people have probably had it by now, what's the current consensus on 0090? I'm definitely a bit lumpy and rich at start sometimes for a minute or two so wouldn't mind sorting that, BUT, I don't want to slow my car down in any way.

By the way I tried the 3,000 to 8,000 thing in 3rd gear and got 7.9 seconds. Bloody scary (well it was on the narrow road I did it on anyway) - what psycho invented that test :) Will repeat again at some point for consistency.

Thanks in advance.

this be the 'psycho' ;)

do it several times, give me all runs, nice and consistent, pause at 3000, pause at 8000, get accurate, and let the erro be on the high side...
fuel load
passengers
OA temp
mileage on the car
valves cleaned?
sedan/avant

Aah, yes, the true mind jobs can't resist confessing to their crimes :)

I shall do proper justice to the test over the coming days when I have a bit more road room so I'm not simultaneously timing, checking revs and trying to Exocet along a daft road without crashing all at once!
