Not all long haired generals spoil our fun ........... but most do :bigblink: What would you rather have really (obviously both!), a £50k motor and holidays etc., or a huge house ........ this has been my arguement for some time, but as of yet, I have neither Image

Well I'm in two minds what to do now, it looks as if mine will be written off so wondering whether to take money and run and say "I'vew owned and driven one of the finest cars on the road" or get a replacement.

The other options are to go for something like an Audi A4 Avant 3.0Tdi Quattro Sline and still enjoy the excellent build quality at a fraction of the price.

Not sure really!

Still waiting on hearing what's up and the total bill. I don't want it back as the chassis has been damaged very badly. It will need a reshell and I dont know the cost.

I have heard the figure of 3k for labour.

I'm getting an M5 tomorrow to replace to 730d hire car!!!

Now that is spooky, because I also could not find the thread, so I PM'd Contigo thinking I had gone mad and imagined it all ...... :?

Maybe it has been removed because people shouldn't advertise there cars are damaged incase it affects future sales to RS246 members Image

Exactly the reason. It shouldnt matter too much in my case if the car is gone but I'm hoping that it wont come down to the resale value.

Thanks

I will only be bothered if the car comes back. If it's written off no big deal I get a new one. Don't see the point getting too teary about it' it's only a lump of metal and it can be replaced (albeit a very nice one ) :D

Since it's well under a year old won't your insurance pay full replacement costs of a brand new (same spec) one if they declare it a write-off?

Most fully comp policies have that now don't they? Mine have for as long as I can remember.
