The repairs are one issue, the shabby customer service is a completely different subject, and one that needs to be addressed with the dealer principal first thing monday morning.
As for compensation, Audi UK usually work on £45 a day, so work out how many days your car has been off the road and use that figure for starters, take the car with dealer, to their approaved bodyshop and get them to agree to fit a new bumper. If all else fails, go the replacement car route, but it will take months to get an answer from Audi UK as it will be the subject of endless meetings, inspections and agro............ Good luck!

And to rub it in they don't do a touch up pen in sprint blue either.

no polish on earth will stop paint chips. some claim to leave a hard finish that will help prevent them... but id be sceptical

was the paint repair work you had done in the area that you are now picking up the stone chips? IIRC from my days involved with bodyshops.. AUDI in Germany still use solvent based paint.. or atleast mixes of it. In the UK you can no longer do this. I think its all water based now.

I noticed increased stone chipping when i had the front of my corrado vr6 sprayed and when i asked the guy who did it for me (who is also a friend who now owns his own bodyshop) he said that the water based stuff isnt as hard... he also resprayed it and i think baked it for longer as sometimes if it is still partially soft aswell it can pick up the chips quicker.

Hi All,

The stone chips are getting picked up on the whole of the front bumper. Despite the car being fixed last week, it has gone away again because it is still not right so it will be five weeks on Friday that I have been without the car. Such a shame that I did not have it for the bank holiday weekend and I am missing it sooo much. I will probably have it back by winter time when I will not be able to use it  .

Just been offered £500 compensation for the five weeks without the car. I have been told by consumer advice who by the way are brilliant that Audi Finance are solely liable for refunding me the full amount paid for the car or a new model. I am on hold trying to speak to them now. I will let you know how I get on.
