90 minutes while i waited.
Which dealer was this as I'm Kent based too? Did they change the airbag?

Well... no loan cars available till late August at my dealer.
Haven't received my letter yet either..
Advice is - don't crash in the meantime :)
Go for your free health check and put the quote paperwork on the dashboard, guaranteed to protect you from any impact.

Haha, they did mention they'd do a healthcheck and wash the car. Told them not to bother..
Not after I had a couple done within a month of each other and after comparing them, it appeared my tyre tread depths had increased during the month without changing anything 😂

Mine is in today, had a service due and they are doing it too.

No car availability here, so hopefully it gets done without issues!

Well they surpassed themselves once again.
Got the call to say the car was ready, but needed brake fluid ( watch I asked for twice when dropping it off and it's included in the service plan..). Anyway...

Got there getting the keys and the chap said that's all done and the parts are on order...
I was like what parts...

The response was " We did the campaign, no need to worry about that, but we don't have a part so need to order it. Because it's an RS we don't stock it"

The "part " was the airbag...

FFS...

FFS, what a feckin joke Mike.
This is why I don't trust Audi and I want a hire car off them
They can have mine but won't be getting there's back till it's sorted.
Because it's an RS made me giggle, must have uprated bags in ours 😂

So got the call from Audi yesterday that the parts to finish the job are now here. Booked in again for Monday. Let’s hope they get it sorted.

It's some joke all right.

They did try and book me in after a few days but couldn't confirm when the part would arrive so booking me in was pointless...

2 weeks later and still no word on the part arriving.

Recall

Post by Chinny » Tue Jun 18, 2024 6:52 pm

So dropped the car off yesterday morning and they completed all the work for the recall. Only took them 8hrs . Went to work this morning and when I got home today I had the official letter from Audi saying book your car in. It’ll only take 2 hours to do. What a joke

Three and a half weeks now since I was in and they still don't have the parts to do the job and no ETA on them.
My RS4 must really have some special parts nobody else has...

Extremely frustrating as I booked it in for the recall when I read this thread back in April..

Ridiculous. It's odd (and annoying) that so many are having issues. Just proves that each dealer is unique. Mine had it all done in a morning.
I've read others having all kinds of issues with the dealer scratching the dash and trim when fitting the part, delays with getting in the part but still booking the appointment in, etc. Bloody farce really.

I can see why people hate taking their RS4's to Audi. They aren't interested nor have the technical ability to even work on these cars anymore sadly. 99% of the cars they get in are just your typical non-performance Audi's so when a B7 turns up it's like a different world to them.

Crap that so many owners are having these issues

I booked mine in with Bath Audi and had it done a couple of weeks ago. Dropped car off about 10.00 and it was done with new parts fitted about 3 hours later. All was good with car no issues. They didn’t do a health check but it was cleaned inside and out, no complaints.

Sounds like I was one of the lucky ones!

Quick question. Did the recall get marked off in your service book?

Not the service book per se but they sent me an invoice outlining the work undertaken and the cost of the replacement unit (£600).
