What Faisal said.
Forget about the flexi. They get damaged very quick. Unless they are blown than replace.
Don't touch main cats (200cel) can remove 400cel (precats) but will need remap.

Sounds like what they're suggesting is removing the main cats, and keeping the pre-cats.

That is a stupid thing to do.

The precats (the ones upstream, closer to the engine) are 400 cell - which is restrictive.

The main cats are downstream (visible under the car) and these are 200cell - enough to get you through an MOT without being too restrictive. They're the same spec as what you'd class as "sports cats" in the aftermarket world.
Cheers, that makes sense now, although your right i am not removing them as i dont need the aggro from the mot station every year and im not changing exhausts every 12 months, sod it the flexi pipes can stay scuffed / damaged lol

OK I HAVE A DILEMMA NOW ????

Just had the xpipe fitted, and to be honest i am very pleased with the sound, much louder and deeper as it should be.
Interested to hear where you had this done and costs.

hi, well to remove the center box and fit straight pipes would have been about £170, but as they custom make the xpipe on site it was £250 supply and fit, in my opinion the sound is perfect, not so noisy you look like a prick, but noisy enough that people know the car means business lol.

It was last summer so cheaper due to the exchange rate.
