Docurley - I've always read your signature and often wondered how one could have an 06 'Exclusive Edition' considering the RS4 Black and White editions only came to market in late 07. I just presumed your car may have been optioned with an exclusive interior, but having now perused your photobucket account; I've not seen any of your RS4 images to confirm to me that there is anything exclusive with your interior. Yes, there is 'Exclusive' badges fitted to the door cards but these can often be found advertised for sale if you want to fit them.

Care to educate me?

docurley_bust.jpg
The car came that way when I got her but before the front seats, steering wheel and gear knob were stolen and me changing the black trim for carbon she had Alcantara steering wheel, gear knob and I still have the original hand brake lever which is trimmed out in Alcantara now replaced with carbon. I can confirm the door cards are the ones that were in the car when part of the trim was stolen as there are marks on top of the door card.

Now if you know the sticker code I would be more than happy to have a look in the boot to see if it I have the code or it could be the owner went back to Audi and custom ordered it later as the original owner lived in Chelsea London so may had more money then sense.

In regards to the front end on the test car all the front end of the B7 will bolt straight on to a B6, but at the end of the day it was a hybrid, part B6 part B7 who knows what was going on under that body.

Fair enough; the point is that even though you may have some parts that were also fitted to the Edition RS4's, yours was still a 06 which was well before Audi even thought of producing the end of line special.

Taking into account what you've said, I imagine the original owner may have spec'd the vehicle with the black interior scheme that had the rock grey kidney inserts on the bucket seats. Now that they've been stolen there is no longer anything exclusive to the vehicles specification. Post a picture of the Sticker PR codes and I'll endeavour to de-code them for you.

Audi Exclusive wasn't only on the end of line or Edition RS4.

In the original saloon only hard-backed B7 RS4 brochure (dated March 2005) it mentions that you can order Audi Exclusive paint finishes, leather upholstery and decorative inlays. The same Audi Exclusive options are listed in the second edition of the hard-backed brochure (dated February 2006) which includes the Avant. So just because docurley's car is a 2006 that doesn't NOT exclude it from having Audi Exclusive paint, upholstery & inlays.

Thanks Dave, my point was that you can't have an 'Exclusive Edition' RS4 on a '06. Yes, you could have ordered via the Exclusive catalogue but as I couldn't see any pertaining parts on Docurleys car that were Exclusive, I then questioned that aspect also.

As a side note, you'd think the RS4 was only available in Sprint Blue flicking through the 03/05 brochure.

docurleys signature says "Exclusive edition" - note the lower case on edition. I'm charitable enough to believe he means Exclusive rather than Exclusive Edition?

I must admit I haven't studied his interior or exterior pictures to see if his car (still) has any of the Audi Exclusive paint, trim or inlays - too busy doing other stuff!!!

If the car was built with Audi Exclusive trim including seats (and hence with the Exclusive badges) should we really expect him to change the door trims as well as the seats after the seats were stolen? The insurers wouldn't pay up for that, that's for sure.

Sprint Blue is a good colour for grabbing attention in a brochure :beerchug:

PetrolDave - I try to give benefit of the doubt; my tolerance is perhaps a little lower than yours and that's something which I can work on to improve.

Docurley - I appreciate you posting that Sticker so that we can debate the topic at hand, rather than resorting to a hostile manner which many threads here unfortunately can see.

As far as I'm aware, on your Sticker: E0A = Non Special Edition

If it was an Exclusive order originally then I'd expect to see the code - E1Z = Exclusive.

Then if it was a Black & White Exclusive Edition, I 'think' the code you'd be looking for is - E1W.

Well having come from a car with the most incorrectly used car badge in the whole wide world..( maybe)
Sometimes it just makes you laugh,, Although in all honesty i have also used the badge in vain..
Below is a picture it was a replica but every item was swapped for items that was the same as an rs2 or well vastly better.
And i always wanted to pull up next to a real one and leave it for dust.. :) :<beep>_you:
Anyways how do all the threads on here seem to turn in to arguments of some sort... amazing i tell ya.. feel like i logged into the focus forum.. :boohoo:

I don't believe the RS2's came with chrome roof rails did they? Also I don't see an argument either, just a discussion about details, which most folk couldn't care less about - that's why this is an enthusiast website!

Probably the last thing i would have picked up on was the chrome roof rails.. But your correct.
They was not chrome they was hand polished by myself taking many many hours..
And they looked that good i did it on my RS2 as well..

Not that strange really as many of us modify our cars - my option sticker will decode to Symphony radio plus CD changer, but I've actually got a 2010+ RNS-E plus AMI (neither of which could possibly have been fitted at the factory) since they weren't even designed when my RS4 was built in June 2006!
Oh and I retrofitted the glovebox cool box myself within a week of collecting it new from Camberley Audi.
