A little confused on required parts...

8J0 955 987 G Spray Nozzle Left 1
8J0 955 988 G Spray Nozzle Right 1
8E0 955 431 Adapter Steel 1
4F0 955 431 Adapter Aluminum 1

Optional
4F0955431 Install Instructions 1

Confused as it looks like the adapters are duped, and also a reference to a plastic instead of Aluminum, but that comment references the Steel adapter.

Also… I assume we would need 2 or either the plastic, steel or aluminum

Just want to make sure I order the correct parts…

Tks
Ps Great mod idea!!

Glad you are all finding it useful !

If you want to create your own kit then you will need -

8J0 955 987 G Spray Nozzle Left 1
8J0 955 988 G Spray Nozzle Right 1
8E0 955 431 Adapter (now plastic) x 2

The kit allows for A4, A6 & I think A8 upgrades hence the different adaptors but that is the one you need.

Yeah I thought the adapter looked a bit flimsy but it clipped into place tightly. The kit came with 4 adapters but you only need two for the RS4, other ones must be for A6 or A8?

Am I missing something here? - I already have 2 x triple jet front windscreen washers - did the earlier 2006 RS4 come with a double jet set up [hence why you upgraded] or are the kits mentioned to upgrade the triple jet nozzles to a fan spray?

Sync - you read my mind. I'm looking into the washer jet upgrade and was thinking the same thing. Anyone?

The part description on the EKTA image of page 1 of this thread describes the nozzle as 'Spray'. I just want to be sure before I take the plunge on this my tri-jet is converted to a spray with the kit upgrade.

Anyone?

They are triple jets which when set correctly to factory placement look like a fan spray. Mine is a 07 facelift (albeit early one) and only has the twin jets, so perhaps they phased them in through the production run?

I shall fit the kit today and try do a before/after for you to see.

Mine is a mid 2007 facelift and has twin jets either side - I think I'll order this one and that before and after would be great, Sam.

Ordered! The Kit was £29 so hardly worth gaffing with the bits - here tomorrow! I'll be spraying everywhere...

You'll be cursing too. :FIREdevil:

I went through 2 washer bottles just setting up the jet alignment. The rest is pretty straight forward and the only bit that had me stumped for a little bit was the plastic adaptors. I'll do a seperate write up with pictures tomorrow, but for now this is the difference.
