Also had a few deliveries over the last few days

OEM BT phone to pair up with the RNS-E along with new kufatec loom as the original was hacked to bits

Image

Then a few parts from stoke audi parts.

Engine covers, battery cover as the original had broken locating tabs and aircon pipe cover from the cabrio model, and also a US spec front plate delete

Also got the BT kit fitted yesterday but after coding it all in with vcds I couldn't get it to pair with my phone. After removing it all and refitting and getting the same error, I tried Leah's phone and it worked first time!

Reset of the phone (iPhone 5) and it now works

Plate delete makes it look so good - presumably you keep the plate on the dash when nipping around... ?

Good job.

Is there a PDC version of that number plate delete as I'd imagine that the PDC would be going nuts?

Cars looking great! Was the BT kit difficult to fit? Been wanting to add it but suspect it's beyond my skills.

If there's ever a meet up around Edinburgh I'm totally up for it, being such an RS4 noob I'm keen to see/hear some of the possible mods :)

Saw two other Daytona saloons in Edinburgh the last few weeks and a friendly Daytona saloon in Exeter last week.

Reminds me of when I had a '70s VW panel van what with all the waves and hellos you get on the road.

Thanks, I'm thinking of relocating the plate but for now I'm just going to swap between the standard plate holder and the new trim, no point making yourself a target when there isn't a need.

Unfortunately not, these deletes are for the US market that didn't have the PDC system, I've seen some people have made holes in the plates, however I was thinking of relocating the inner sensors to the lower grill, similar to the RS6

Hi mate, thanks for the comments. The bt kit is really quite simple.

3 wires already have connections on them that slot into empty spaces on the back of the rns-e multi plug,
3 or 4 wires then need tapped into the exiting loom.
7 or 8 bolts to get the glovebox out for the control unit to sit behind
Mic goes into the overhead light/sunroof panel then the cable run along the headlining/a pillar trim

Only bit that you might need help with is the coding of the rns-e and bt using vcds,
