Why the secrecy? I don't get it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to force an answer out of you, I don't care what you paid, I just don't understand why people want to keep it a secret. Asking how much someone earns or how much their house cost is different in my eyes cos that is personal, but when buying a car that we all know the rough value of just doesn't make any sense to me. I understand the value of this one is slightly different as it's a special car but unless you plan on selling it on very soon with the intention of making money on it what's the point in hiding it. Or you don't want the missus to find!
Ditto, but i don't get why people are like it with wages and house cost either. But everyone has their limit to what is too personal i guess. I normally just peg it down to how they was brought up, i.e thinking that things like that are personal without actually giving it much thought. It's like, what can i really gain from knowing the amount other than to continue said conversation. I can understand doing it with certain people, if you was at a BBQ and you got asked by a family member that you know is on a lot lower wage, then i would be hesitant to then and if someone asks your bank balance/savings i can understand but only because it tends to change peoples opinion of you, like you're either bragging or offering services as a long term lender............
Each to their own lol
Bloody nice car you have, i'm looking forward to seeing your project thread
Salaries, private wealth etc are a little more personal issues, but car prices (unless you got a mates rate or are looking to pass it on at a profit) are pretty open things
However, it's the OP's car and if he wants to keep it to himself, then that's entirely his prerogative
