Nope, I like the piano black bezel standing out, reminds me that I am not running the dinosaur version :). I understand what you are saying though as I felt the same when I first had the upgrade done to the 6, you get used to it though.

Fortunately the guys had the matt black fascia/bezel. Highly recommend these guys: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/satnavsystemexperts/ - excellent to deal with...

I think you obtained an RNS-e in the past also from these guys, Mr Footlong?

I was probably one of the first people to install a 2010+ rnse back in late 2011,and when I bought mine it came with a proper B7 bezel. No shine.

I believe I paid £600 all in for a package of everything. Just had to pull the old radio and sell it, and install the new one. I guess now the new ones all have a shiny bezel? Could you swap your old b7 one over?

2011? - I can beat that by a considerable margin...

I've just checked my old emails - I installed a 2010+ RNS-E (an 8P0 035 193 C with full SDS) into my RS4 on 20th September 2009 (unit purchased from Haaggie on audiforum.us and he kindly fitted an A4 faceplate for me).

It's the 2011 onwards versions that have the shiny bezel.

I got my smoked Dectanes this week after a month+ backorder and fitted them this afternoon.

Not impressed. Poor build quality, the fit isn't brilliant and also isn't uniform on both sides, they assembled the inner lens retention brackets incorrectly and some of the LEDs are faulty to boot!

This is why I wanted In.pro rear lights, their build quality is a million times better then Dectane. On a plus note, the indicators are slightly better than the RS6 C5 Dectanes...... I haven;t put the interior back together as I am two minds about ripping them out and sticking the OE back on.

And, unless Dectane have done a redesign, not all the lights have been replaced by LEDs as the reversing lights are still incandescent bulbs.

My daily driver has replacement LED reversing lights and they are MUCH brighter than the standard incandescent bulbs were, so IMHO not fitting LEDs is insane.

Mr Footlong - that's a proper shame. The ones I had were a pretty good fit and all working as they should... :?

Agree. Reverse LED as an incandescent bulb is pants - I ended up getting a second DRLS canceller set from Trups to achieve the LED revers - no idea why they can't engineer a bloody reverse as LED...

I swapped in the standard reverse bulbs, think I have some of the special ones from Trups at the office but forgot to pick them up. half of the LEDs on the right inner lens don't light up, but flash on when you bang the side of the housing, faulty wiring etc.

Really in two minds about them and will be too embarrassed to drive in the dark with some of the bulbs not working....

That's rubbish. What a pain in the arse. I'd send them back for a refund. Fitting is one thing, but LEDs blown/crap wiring is another.

Sound like a real Friday afternoon batch... :(
