Please remember that we started this log at a time when Audi UK were saying (and appearing to do) nothing about the issue. They have now accepted the problem, replied to those who wrote in, extended the warranty and (I believe) modified the parts in the hope of improvement. That's good enough for me...
By all means keep the log going, but there's nothing to gain other than better understanding

P_G Sorry, I missed that part of your previous post. Yes, it would e nice to get feedback from other RS groups outside of RS246. At the least to just "cast the net" a little wider.
I also agree with Dom. Since this was started, the goal posts have changed somewhat. Audi UK have certainly accepted that there is some potential issue there and been forthcoming with a pretty decent warranty improvement, and improved shocks, to deal with the issue. I for one am very glad.

My car was booked in for the front shocks to be replaced tomorrow; but the dealer has phoned me this evening to say that Audi UK have not sent the parts......and they are unsure when they will actually arrive!
I've had book time-off from work in order to allow for the logistics of dropping-off and picking-up the car, which I cannot cancel with such short notice......and I'll have to do it again in three weeks (the next available window).
This will mean it'll have taken almost 6 weeks to get the job done!
...and the car has started to smoke heavily (unburned fuel) during cold starting, the rear right window rubber has split, the front brake pads are 80% worn (@ 7500 miles - Only 2000 of those have been during my careful ownership) and a couple of inlet manifold flap faults have been registered by the ECUs.
I've been told these issues will not be investigated / resolved until the visit to the dealer three weeks from now.
I'm not happy!
