How do you know your A5 adversary wasn't chipped? If it was then you aren't gooing to shift it off your tail. I wouldn't worry about it and have taken to the philosophy that there will always be someone who wants to be quicker then you on a straight road whether an A5 2.0T, various chav mobiles, diesel rep mobiles or White Astravan man in his 1.9 CDTi. Very few cars that get to even the slightest of bends will match or better the RS, that is where it excels.

Exactly, I was being hounded by a Seat Leon the other day wanting a race. However, my engine was in warm up mode so I wasn't interested. I cruised along at 60-70mph along the B-road with him up my chuff. When we got to the twisties I carried on at 60-70 but he had to slow down to take the bend and fell back (only to scream back up my arse at the next straight). Was quite hiliarious actually.

Well, the experts have spoken.

Doug_S2 wrote: The RS4 is throttle limited upto 5500rpm in the 1st 3 gears. You lose around 20-30nm upto that point, then when it goes 100% throttle you feel the kick.

You get approx 84 g/s per bank, airflow at 4500 on stock car and when tuned(i think this log was cleaned as well) for WOT you get around 94g/s per bank airflow (approx numbers but significant differences)

There are a lot of AMGs throttle limited depending on which model you buy to distinguish the power to the spec level. The R8V10 is throttle limited at high revs so that it is less power than the Gallardo. The turbo cars are the same - 1.8TFSI engines are ECU limited to 120ps - everything the same as the higher spec engines - a remap on the 120ps goes to 210ps!
So it turns out there is a point to having the throttle @ WOT even at lower revs, ie the engine will swallow as much as it can, although power loss seems to be closer to 5%, so maybe there is just something up with my driving or my car

As an aside, That shows how good the evora is - it's pretty much 150+ bhp down on most cars on that list.

the evora isn't exactly lightweight or brimming with bhp (cayman s is lighter and more powerful).
Evora works out to about 200bhp/ton, the exige 240 and the RS4 260. Evora chassis is superb.
