This is what I meant by lucky or unlucky.

The volume on my BT stays turned down - and has with my last 2 phones (HTC TyTn and HTC Touch).

No it doesn't show track names on the RNS-E, and it can't - as it uses the CD changer interface which isn't text capable.

Found a fix.

If you have the iPhone cradle fitted, push the voice control button, stay quiet and as she talks turn the volume down.

"Vola" next time bluetooth connects it's at the lower volume.
