+1 although the Audi is a nicer place to be but the BMW DCT gearbox is better than the Audi DSG.

Looks great on the outside, but am not a fan of the interior, esp the dash. I was having a mooch on a bmw forum a few years back and they was all slagging the B7 interior for being bland, so horses for courses I guess.

I think so re private plates - I certainly know someone with private plates on a lease car. I was just told to insure it and provide a certificate proving cover - no particular do's or dont's. (I also took out gap isnurance but wasn't required to do so).

Don't go on the website then wellzie I'm very tempted with a bog standard a4 tdi for what there available at,my driving time is split between an 03 tdi sport work hack and the rs4 every other weekend,I could bail em both n bang nearly 30k back in my quickly emptying bank account since the build started, hmmmm I just dunno I've always seen the Rs as a keeper hence the tuning investment etc hmmmm ..................dunno dunno

great looking car. I love the hood bump. Would be great to have a little bump like that to help house a TVS1900 or something on an RS4. I guess hood development is prohibitively expensive though.

benefit of them both next to each other, they sound different but M3 sounds very nice - more tuned with a tinny sound vs RS4 is more fat boy V8

They are both great cars - you couldnt say one was better than the other as its wat suits you at the time but the RS is defintiely easier to drive with the AWD

I use to not really like the 'metallic' sound of the E46 and the V8 doesn't sound much different I think - or how I would expect it to sound put it that way. I had a go in an E90 over the summer and seem to recall the sound track not being that pleasing, like you say still very tinny !!

But I'm just jealous and bitter so dont listen to me ....... lovely car :beerchug:

Dont know why but I have a massive soft spot for 4 door M3's ...... rarity perhaps - E90 in that sky blue colour :nodder:
