6k is for a complete setup (pads, discs, calipers etc) but yes pricey to maintain but intervals are massive.

Welcome mate,

Just go over the car with a fine tooth comb when you get it, there has been some cars recently which have had hidden history and another with faults on it.

You need to be wary when cold buying these days, even from main dealers.

Look at the sticky at top of page for tips.

Appreciate the advice, i was looking for an EVO 10 but when i realised the boot wasnt big enough for the things you need to lug about with a young family the RS4 seemed to fit the bill, i feel more comfortable paying a few extra £'s buying from a main dealer as opposed to buying private and the car has been described as original and unmarked (with exeption of stonechips inherent to 26k miles) by the dealer, so i expect it to be good when it arrives but i will spend considerable time checking it over, the mileage is resonably low and it has all the extra's i wanted (Black optics, sunroof, Carbon interior trim and the seats)

Appreciate if anyone has any advice on specific area's / problems to look for?

Cheers :beerchug:
