Milltek question again

Just taken ownership of an RS4 - loving the car but one thing im missing is the sound of my S4 with Milltek sports cats and resonated cat back.

Im deffo thinking of going non res valved on the RS4, but also having the pre-cats removed - how does having the pre-cats removed effect the sound ? does it make it much louder ? the sound from the S4 with sprt cats and non res is just right - concerned it going non res will cause to much booming in the cabin (have little ones in the back)
