Thanks.

Just ordered some more silver cool-it tape, going to cover the engine side of the heat shield. In theory a bonnet scoop above the GruppeM would work wonders :smile_smoking:

I know it sound strange, but I dont really like the RS4 to look way off OEM. Not really feeling all the bonnet vents in that style. I did consider a plan CF bonnet, maybe a discrete conclave air scoop above the air filter.

Currently sitting in 33 degrees at Lake Como before heading to Stelvio and I can definitely vouch for heat soak as over the past couple of days I have been sure the car has been feeling a little sluggish, I have put this down to the GruppeM sucking hot air after long hot runs.

Looking good Sonny and it will be really interesting to see the benefits once you are all done.

I will let you know tomorrow as im back upto MRC to have the cold air feed installed, (and a stage 2 inlet manifold). We shall see what the intake temps are this time.

Sonny that looks very good, although is there enough of a gap to get to the sparkplugs without having to take out all the heat shielding?

Also how much to make me one? lol

You see I thought of that when putting it together. There are two bolts that you undo allowing the upright sheild to be lifted out. This is not stuck in place.

I will have to tally up the costs, the Gold tape was expensive at £45 for 15ft, I used two roles, plus a 60ft roll of silver (only half used) silver tape was around £40.
