Zero for me in 5 years. Spark Plugs changed at 45,000 miles.

I remember reading somewhere that there was a reason for coil pack failure. I'll see if I can dig it out. It was something like alternator voltage regulator faulty or spark plug incompatability, something like that.

It is possible there was a bad batch, does anyone care to flag up the serial number of their failed pack

They are fairly common to have to replace on VAG's. Had to replace 2 a few years back when i had my MK4 R32.

Appears VW are accepting an issue, Perhaps Audi will follow suit?

It is indeed!

RR went last weekend, A5 goes into Audi Sunday and the RS4 will be driven away !
B7 RS4 Cabriolet with custom Blueflame - Gone

Cheers that would be great, it just seems odd that 3 have gone.

Its all fixed for now anyway :roll: . I have even bought a spare for next time lol. Took it out for a blast this evening and it was pulling like a dream, I do love these cars :biggrin3:

I managed 4 years in a B6 S4 with none needed either. Dave's charmed life is starting to slip though - at least his DRC went in the end!

I had no CP's go in my B6 S4 (had more significant issues instead) but I had a number of CP's go in my S3 before that.

I must be charmed then because no coil packs failure in my A3 1.8T, S3, S4 or RS4.
