Surely the service indicator tells you when its due? Low mileage car could easily go 2 years according to the cars own system? The car has been serviced as per requirements surely? I have to say i myself would like to see a minimun of an annual oil change but some wealthy owners just buy cars like this because they can and have no mechanical understanding or interest,my car is 4 years old and only had 2 main dealer services with 33k miles on it,the service indicator a few weeks ago said 5000 miles to next service i pull it out of the garage 3 weeks later it says service NOW so im a little confused were i lost 5k miles with the car not turning a wheel?

This post has got me curiously thinking...my car was serviced last at 26k approx 18 months ago is it right to to need a service at 33k miles? It has fresh oil plugs and filters etc done when at mrc for tuning work only a few thousand miles ago max so im not going to have it done yet but curiuos as to the countdown just dumping 5000 miles

Bolster wear at 21,000 miles - surely that should send alarm bells ringing....

Not really...my bolsters are knacked and ive only done 27000....

Its a well know fact the bolsters arent "fit for purpose" IMO.

How do you define knackered? Mine have creases in the sides but are still fully supportive (after 69k miles).
Gone to the dark side

The timer isn't just mileage dependant, but time dependant as well.

My car has been counting down the mileage and the days until service due. According to the dash I'm currently due a service in 400 miles or 66 days. So I assume if I park the car up for 70 days it will tell me it needs a service.......

Creases......creaking....and worn through stiching on both driver and passenger sides.
As well as them being shiny and worn.

My car has 16000 miles and the drivers bolster has signs of wear that wouldn't be apparent on any other type of seat - its not 'knackered' at all but they suck - its impossible to get in or out without leaning all over them.

I bought mine with 25k on it and had the upper re trimmed under warranty and paid myself for lower to be done,so in effect a brand new seat, its done 8k of very carefull miles since and is starting to show little bits again on close inspection,im mega carefull getting in and out and treat the leather with gliptones, the seat is better than 80% of whats out there for sale but crikey its only really 8k old and been well cared for it should be new still,i think the leather is cheaper quality than the b5 or maybe just the nature and shape of the seat? who knows but seen some ugly lookin stuff for sale thats for sure

Mine had worn bolster at 20k from dealer with FASH...just bad design from a getting in and out perspective.

No FASH then walk away.....mileage cannot be verified. Unless it is really, really cheap.

there are loads of good cars about.
