Build quality of my RS4 is better then the 996 I had (at least the bits I can see!). 997s are closer.
996 turbo is a good car, but no way could I go back to a 996 as a daily driver after the RS4. But as said above it's not really a fair comparison. 996 turbo and RS4 - now that would be good!

Strange angle to the post?!? :audibash:

I had an 993 Turbo which was awesome. Last of the air-cooled. However I need a 4 door car and I love my RS4. To be honest, the RS4 is more fun to drive (being na). Wouldn't look at a turbo again personally. But a GT3 :thumb:

Enjoy your 996

Porsche don't do a 911 Avant do they? So that's the 911 ticked off m y list of possible cars in an instant.

No I don't want to drive Porsche's "Clapham tractor" - I want to drive a car, not a massive behemoth.

Bit strong isnt it?....

So were the alleged carbon issues causing you problems?

Probably no.

Mind you coming from a man who orignally said he was selling his RS4 because of the fuel consumption??? :bigwave:

Enjoy your 7 year old porsche bet its cheap as chips to run.

You,l look well in it as well no doubt...

now jog on to the porsche forum and slag the rs4 off....

Ring
996TT 7:56 --- 155.80 km/h - Porsche 996 Turbo, 420 PS/1569 kg
RS4 7:58 --- 156.66 km/h - Audi RS4 4.2 V8 FSI, 420 PS/ 1650 kg

hardly 'much' faster

actually embarressing for the 996 considering it's a 2 seat, sportscar, a twin-turbo'ed 'supercar', yet only 2 seconds over 13 miles?
less than 1 km/hr faster..than a 4 door luxury saloon, a 'grocery getter'

The two main reasons for getting my RS4 was a V8 engine and discreet looks. That Porsche has neither of these attributes so it's a non-starter for me. :kissmyrings:
