My car'll be four years old soon, and I rarely keep cars past three years, but there really is nothing to replace it with at the moment. I'd trade it for a B8 RS4 in an instant (assuming it was any good, of course!). I was hoping they might do a sportback version of the RS5, but it doesn't look likely.
B8 S4 and 335 touring are sort of possibilities I guess, but a bit tame after the RS4. Quite like the idea of the Panamera, but it looks a bit naff and the cooking versions are too expensive for a "workhorse" car, really.
So I'm stuck at the moment. The only other option is to swap the RS4 for two other cars! A cheepo four door and an out and out sports car, but these days it's so expensive to tax and insure a car I'm not sure sure how sensible it would be. And we've only got a two car garage!

We are all in the same boat mate. my car is 4 years old and is in perfect condition. so Im happy to keep mine until either 1) I can afford to refuel her 3 times a week or 2) the new RS4 comes out. in the mean time im happy to keep her, I however do not commute in her.

Coming up for 3 years old now, and having drove a 'normal' car for the past two days i wont be swapping for anything but another rs4...so long as it hasnt been given a 'green' makeover!!

Does no one here have any audi friends they can harrass for info? I always read mixed reports about the 4 coming out again

+1.

Mine's 4 years old next month, and won't be having a new owner anytime soon.

For my commute to work I use a Citroen C1 4 days a week for economy, and my RS4 1 day a week for smiles

I've had the same thoughts about replacing the RS4 but there really is nothing on the market that ticks the same boxes. I already do the 2 car thing but luckily for me the RS4 is my not so cheapo 4 door. The Elise (although supercharged) doesn't break the bank. It's also just as quick as the RS4 (and faster on the track of course).

I think I might as well keep the RS4 for a few more years. I don't even expect Audi to come out with a worthy replacement in the future (I'm unimpressed with the RS5).
