What a machine the RS4 is, ditto your comments, and as for fuel, I burnt of 2 tanks of fuel today at Brands (190 Miles) Tell that to your green friends lol

Its funny you say that Zorbs, the RS4does attract all the right attention. I often get a lot of good comments at track days about the car, now that's saying something IMO

the RS4 is a 'car guys' car
to the uninitiated, it's just a cool looking car
for the afficianado, it's something very special

I think the RS4 is a superb car, and the Crossplane V8 soundtrack alone makes all the cost of ownership woes disappear. It's a relatively quiet and comfortable luxury car in normal mode. However, the handling is excellent when driven hard and it sounds like a 70's American muscle car when the sport button is pressed. The car has subtle tasteful styling (i.e no spoilers, no gold wheels etc.....) and looks attractive when viewed from any angle.

Hopefully the high running costs of the cars will prevent the cars from being driven by Chavs in the future, which would spoil the image of the car.

I echo most of the comments on here too. Its a truly awesome piece of kit that ticks so many boxes. I cannot think what sort of car I could ever replace it with, certainly nothing thats currently being produced. I've only had mine for 3 months but anticipate owning this car for a good few years to come.
Current;
Porsche 997.1 GT3RS. Pure Orange, ceramics, etc, Sharkwerks exhaust

I think the Chav threshold is way off yet, I hope.

To make matters worse i,m without my baby for approx 7 days while she is in getting accident damage repaired. (only minor maybe new N/S wing).

I have been given a 57plate SAAB 9/3 ESTATE....WHAT A PIECE OF <beep>.....1.8Turbo...slow,wallowly,build quality absolute <beep> and it stinks of fag smoke.

Only slight plus is i absolutely rag the arse of it..drive it like i stole it...(sorry its the childish side of me!!) the up side to courtesy cars.

When you drive a piece of tat like that you really do appriciate how dynamically good the rs4 is...

You think thats bad i have been without mine now for 5 weeks and its still looking like another weeks and i got a <beep> MINI ONE what a joke. i have forgotton what it was like to drive im gutted

This thread really makes my day early in the morning. It is just so great to see and read about you guys that truly and really appreciate the RS4.

I sometimes wonder about the reason I'm keeping this car, especially when I've been spending the last few months cooped up in the city area with the new baby and what nots. Finally has the time to take a drive down to Singapore last week, which is a ~800 km journey return. After that trip, all doubts about the ownership of the car melted away! Who cares about expensive or warped brakes? What leaking suspension? The joys of seeing your speedos hit 300 km/h is enough to make you forget all of those issues...... :D

On top of that, on a recent traffic jam, I had BMW drivers and also big bikers that politely made the wind window down hand gesture. When I did, they pretty nicely asked me if it was an RS4..... can't get better acknowledgement than that. :D

To all those guys that was thinking of buying, go forit. To those thinking of letting go, do do at your own loss.

just drove mine 45 miles, 1/2 highway, 1/2 backroads, driving rain...
the car is as stable as a block of granite...
I could maintain a nice pace without any 'white knuckle' factor...the thing just feels safe...
yea, it's fast, handles great, but the bottom line is it's a great car...everyday, all conditions...just a great car...
I was cruising at 4000 rpm ~100 mph, rock solid...my only fear was that of a ticket, not the road/weather conditions, speed or my ability to control the car...

Yes, it was me. Where were you? I was around the car for most of the time other than occasional forays away to drool over some Lambos! I'd still rather have the RS though!
I made the trek down to the rainy north east of England from the sunny NE of Scotland! I just wanted a good run and the road down A68 etc is a great drive; apart from the Scameras. Had a wee play with a TVR Sagaris on the way there and was quite surprised how well the RS kept with it, although the other half's prescence limited my fun somewhat!

Totally agree with all that has been said.

Had my RS4 6 months now and just so happy with it, really is an amazing car. I had high expectations after pining after one for ages and it's more than matched them.

Just got back from a little drive...windows down, sunroof open, 2nd and 3rd gear blasts through a tunnel...you just can't beat it. Laughing like a little kid I was, I'll never get bored of the noise it makes.

It's going to have to be something really special to replace this car.

I am the same, it was a car that I wanted for so long and when I finally got one it felt really special. It still does now 9 months later and I can't see that changing anytime soon.
