Do you have to declare fitting spacers to an insurance company?

Does anyone have before and after photos of their cars with / without spacers fitted?

I'll get mine fitted (once they arrive) and you can pop round and see for yourself?

Porky - I'm surprised that you're not experiencing any fouling issues. I started off with 10mm hubcentric all round but had to have the fronts machined down to 8mm to prevent the inner liner screw from rubbing. Even the rears occasionally foul on the inner liner when hitting a big bump. At least I now have the benefit of 8mm hubcentric spacers coz I don't think that they're easy to source.

Quite a noticable difference, especially the rears!

Have you had any issues with the car kicking up (more) crap and road debris onto the bodywork with the tyres now sitting so proud?

Im feeling the need for spacers

maybe just 10's on the rear... I have no idea (although am mechanically minded) about what I need - cant be arsed getting stuff swapped n changed just to host them

- are the bad boys from Virdee a "pop them on, then pop your wheels on jobbie" or is it a b@ll ache kinda mod?

10's on the rear ok without anything on the front?

if its a quick addition Im up for it... just crap at making decisions between the differerent types... just want a little fattness (ok ok fatter than she already is) look from the rear

57 plate B7 non SS.. (looks low at the rear tho)

cheers

Sorry if this sounds like a numpty question, but how much of a difference visually does it make, is it a big improvement ?
Also, I assume this is visual only and won't massively effect handling ?
Cheers

Yes!!!!...im running 8mm front 10mm rear...

My rear arches are peppered to bits since i ran spacers...and the spokes on the rears wheels are taking a hit too!!!! due to them sticking out more.

No major damage but a defo gravel rash effect..

I bought my 10's and 8's off Virdee and they are the ONLY ones to use with the RS4, hubcentric H&R with longer bolts.

I had problems at first with vibration through the steering but I found my wheels were slightly out of balance so a quick trip to ATS and all sorted.

You do have to be very careful when putting them on though, make sure you apply a little bit of copper slip to the faces of the spacer, tighten your bolts in a star pattern to 120nm etc

Well worth it though, the car looks much better with them on.
