Forgot to mention but mine was in for the body repairs from the thoughtless cabbie and I was ready to take the car and they were adamant that the mod had to done before I took the car away. Power steering pipes rubbing so I was lead to believe.

There's no such thing as a "service recall" - it's a service campaig.

Which means that when a car is presented at an Audi dealer for a service the owner is told that the work should be done. If the car is taken to an inde then unless the inde is very well connected, the work won't be done.

A safety recall is coordinated by VOSA and the importer MUST contact the registered owner of all affected vehicles - as Toyota know!

Yes it is a service campaign. Done today. Undertray off, hoses checked. New guide fitted to separate the two braided hoses. An hours work. It was only noticed when I took my car to Audi Aberdeen first time and the service advisor checked the database to see if there were any outstanding items needing checked. I doubt an independent would have access to the Audi database.

Second the comments by rs4v8. I had mine in yesterday for some minor issues and was advised of the campaign. Work was completed in approximately one hour.
Everyone is unique, just like you and me.
