Spoke to consumer direct who say i have a case for the car to be fixed by them or a replacement of equal value or a refund.
Was told to put it all in writing etc sales of goods act 1979 etc etc, recorded delivery as its the garages responsability to prove the car DID NOT leave the garage with the faults.
gave the garage a phone and straight away the blamed the warranty company etc, said he would call me back and e mail, heard nothing, so leter getting sent tommorow by recorded delivery and giving them 14 days, if nothing heard then i have a case No and have been told to phone consumer direct again to take it further, funny thing was when i told him i had phoned trading standards and gave him the details he said its not Joyce i deal with its usually******. i said "oh so you have a lot of dealing with them then"?? Total silence. i love the car and i know its only items that can be replace but you would expect a garage to get them all checked for the money we pay.

In all it will cost you nigh on what you've just paid for the repairs, these garages etc know this and will hang it out, relying on you not wanting to spend money, get a solicitors letter straight to them this will work better than any trading standards/consumer help company and it proves you are serious.bluenosewrx wrote:yes it was free mate, well up to now it was, there was no mention of a fee but guess if it goes all the way a fee will be payable to someone, ie a lawyer.

Hope it all works well. I know I would steer well clear of Bradford. Full stop.bluenosewrx wrote:Forgot to add that its auto prestige of bradford, stay clear if you can.

Also I do think, as DK said in another post, that you are better off buying from an Audi dealer (& negotiating hard just before the month end!) or buying a car privately that has the benefit of an Audi warranty.
Thanks for sharing.
RE: Re: RE: My RS4 Nightmare
given the Audi warranty costs £1.6k to renew, buying from Audi isnt actually to bad value
and sometimes they have them in at really good prices, but you need to be quick
had a look yesterday and dont think they had one on their locator for less than £30k....

other that day to day running costs, my red one cost me 500 in real terms depeciation over 8 months and about 9000 miles.
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: My RS4 Nightmare
wow, thats good going
Re: RE: Re: RE: My RS4 Nightmare
That's brilliant (for a car that did not have a small limited production run), and hope that carries on.jonathonturner wrote:davidkoulakis wrote:yep, 3 months and 5k miles later, my car has no depreciated (according to glasses)jonathonturner wrote: prices seem super firm at the minute.

But you know what they say about past performance is no guarantee for future returns ...
