Not to put a damper on things but I'm sure this car was advertised as £29,999 on the first day of advertising. At that price I was very tempted due to its low mileage, but when I'd decided I'd follow it up the price had gone up!

Check with the dealer to see if they were advertising it cheaper to try and get your price down, else it looks a good buy.

Good luck (and as said dont rely on the Audi used car check....do your own for peace of mind, I found varying histories on 'approved' cars when I was buying my cab)

Yes it was advertised for £29,850... I also called the day it went for sale as i thought that it looked like the wrong price esp. from audi stealer. I still think at £31,850 it looks ok... not cheap and not expensive. Assumming it is in A1 condition! They said the car owes them £29,850 and it was a mistake... not sure how much to read into this. However, since this 'mis-price' they have replaced all 4 tyres so that makes up for a bit and with a bit of haggling (and subtracting the tyres and 1yr warranty) I have got close to the original price of c.30k. But I agree at 29,850k it was a steal... should have put the deposit down earlier!!

Are there any independent checks that I can do before I buy it... assuming Audi let me that is?

Thanks

Good price for a low mileage car - esp from Audi franchised dealer. Obviously haggle and you'll get a bit off. Not keen on the piano black but each to there own.

As for the colour? Best colour there is in my opinion - but that could be cause mine is the same colour. Much rarer (and therefore better) than the other colours.

For reference - paid roughly the same for mine (from Audi) and its basically same spec apart from a few bits here and there.

When are you picking it up??

take it to MRC for a health check, then take it back to Audi to fix and demand a suitable loan car while its being done so

they will bow to your feet, as if Audi UK get wind of the fact they are selling cars with problems they will come down hard

That sounds like a great idea... tvm!
I am going to give it the full once over this weekend and then will pick it up when the admin is all sorted out!
I had the piano black finish in my z4... looks good until it gets scratched!
Aidanjaye what year is yours and when/where did you buy it from?
cheers

Sounds like a good car... CONGRATS! I also have the rear heated seats... nice little touch for guests!
Thanks to all for your help will let you know how I get on this w/e. Given the DRC has been looked at I feel a little better although as earlier will need to check that it has been properly sorted!
