I got chemical-ali to drive mine (straight through non res/non valved) up and and down the road on the weekend as i've never heard it from the outside. I've got to say i absolutely loved it! (Cheers Andy)

I have no problems with cabin noise, even on long motorway journeys with wife and child in tow and the drone experienced previously has completely disappeared since the downpipes went on.

Agree with you Rob. I love the sound of mine, but yours is something else again!

As I've been a little wary of my car not running at it's best since the Miltek, and on recommendation, I am having the car remapped today along with new discs and pads, one touch roof open and close....

I'lll let you know the difference once it's done....and I've recovered from the bill!!!

All in all, GET ONE NOW! ;)
One of the things I love most about my RS4 is the overrun noise when shifting - totally amazing ("phedummm" as mentioned above!) - always want to drive with the windows open to hear it.

I assume a Milltek will only improve this? No risk of it reducing overrun noise?

I'm fairly certain that at some point mine will be fitted with a non-res non-valved. Just not sure whether to do it before warranty is out.

Any one have those fitted to look at as a comparison?

Resonated, valved

Post by kart_man » Thu Aug 20, 2009 5:01 pm

I've got the resonated valved system and love it. Still a bit of a drone around 2000 revs, but nothing that can't be fixed by a down shift. It's definitely loader than standard, but not ridiculous. Would like to hear it alongside a non res system.
If anyone wants to hear it in the Edinburgh area, let me know.
Cheers!
