I'm sure MRC could diagnose the issue for you...
Thanks Jay,

Have already spoken to Doug & a visit is on the cards soon.

Im sorry mate if your car is under warranty i just wouldnt accept having to get a third party involved at your own cost to resolve theses issues.I would be printing up a sign sticking it in the window of the car and park it on a public road very very close to the dealer who has washed there hands of it.I accept there are variables when dynoing but not that far out.Have you had a run against another rs4 for a real world test?

The e-mail from Audi UK said that because I directed my concerns to Audi Germany, this was the highest escalation that could be acheived.

So basically bye bye & gave me the contact to some motoring organisation to assist with disputes that cannot be resolved. Gave them a call - this was a problem that was outside their jurisdiction.

Hey, it's not the end of the world tho', have a lovely family etc, so not all bad :)

Mac

PS To Audi UK I say, ''Take care of your reputation. It's your most valuable asset.

PPS I may have lost this battle, but I'm not going to lose the war... :audibash:
Not sure how MRC would feel about this (and it could be seen as taking the p1ss), but you could visit MRC to possibly just give you a diagnosis of what the problem is and then go back to the dealer (or another dealer(!)) with the diagnosis report in-hand and prompt them for the necessary repair? (As a troubleshooter myself, know that sometimes you end up actually fixing/having to fix a fault as part of the diagnosis however, and I would feel a bit frustrated at having spent ages diagnosing a fault and then not following through with the necessary repair!). Failing that, just let MRC carry out the necessary repair and then possibly claim this money back later in small claims court on the grounds of incompetence. MRC are a well known and respected entity amongst the Audi fraternity so their work/testimonials should hold plenty of water in a courtroom.

Before all of that, I'd perhaps try a different dealer. One that has a good reputation on here in this section.

I know this all sounds a bit obvious, but what choice are Audi leaving you!?

mac, sorry to hear that mate..but like others have said you have got to get it sorted one way or another. i would go the way mors6 suggested and sort it out with audi after... at least with mrc they know there stuff, and you want to get it sorted quick rather than wasting time with crappy phone/emails to audi, you can do that after once it is sorted. if there is anything i can help with give me a call.

Jeebus what depressing reading! MacRS go to another dealer if you feel that you are not getting anywhere with your local one. You just need to read the DRC RS6 threads to see that some will bend over backwards to help the customer and some have such a feckin arrogance that they are simply not interested.

There's cleary something not right with your motor and as others have suggested you need to have Audi fix that for you otherwise it's not fit for purpose. I'd have a blast against another same spec B7 and see how yours fares against it then you can assess if the figures from the RR do seem to be accurate or not.

Please let us know how you get on with this!

have you weighed the car and done any timed runs?
if they are saying you are making only 220 whp, you should be running >15 sec 0-100...
what has your gas mileage been?
and apparently no codes are set...

yours does deviate from the bulk of the cars during the dyno day, was yours run on the same day/same dyno?

dont let it...you can get wrapped right up in all this bullshit.

time your car to 60, and to a hundred..if the times are right or thereabout, then the car is right..if its miles out, then it needs audi to sort it.

people need to sort fact from fiction and learn what their rights are as a consumer.

forewarned is forearmed...

my car is bang on its times, so what point is there in sticking it on the rolling road, only to do my own head in...

Agree that it shouln't put anyone off but if 20 owners stick their cars on a RR for a bit of fun and a few get dramatically different figures to the rest and you're one of those few, wouldn't you be concerned

Subsequent investigation has (I believe) fixed Oli & Klauster's problems - which incidentally were genuine, not a dyno error - so that just leaves Mac...

if someone is happy that they can prove that their car is not fit for purpose and have tried every avenue to resolve the issue, then they need to take legal action...

it might cost a few quid, but it would be worth it?

Mine only produced 343bhp, but the dyno plot looked relatively normal?

Anyway watch this space, going to be sorted soon.....hopefully.
