P_G wrote:FFS, are you for real? Given these supposed issues, like Dom81 said, we all still have our cars and there is perhaps only one or two cars that could replace it in the C63.

DRC is covered under warranty, carbon deposists have not been proven to cause significant power loss or damage to the engine and they have not been accurately proven to be underpowered.

There is not better pound for pound car out there bar perhaps an M5 V10 and then they do have massive running costs compared to our RS4's
Well said Graham, they are great cars, I for one won't be selling up for a while yet.

much like anything, the problems are exagerated by the individuals expectations:
the number one cause for marital/family issues, job disatisfaction, etc.

if people expected as much from themselves as they do others (or machines) 99% of the 'issues' would go away and we could focus on the real problems...hunger, war, disease...not 'my expensive sedan only makes x HP (although there is no basis in reality for this observation) so I'm tweeked and disappointed'...waaa, waaa, waaaa lol

Have to agree with what P.G said, the 'issues' get a lot of airing on here, natually, but we're really talking about DRC which is being 'managed' by Audi and the carbon issue which affects all direct injection motors, and the effects of which aren't really known properly.
I can honestly say that this is the most complete car I've had. My two AMG's lacked the involvement and hard edge of the Audi, the TVR's were just ready made kit cars which had to go when the novelty wore off, and the RS4's immediate predesessor, a mapped and milteked 8P S3 coincidently, whilst a very nice pocket rocket, was just not in the same league. I love the RS and can't imagine what I'd change it for without moving into a much higher cost bracket. I'd buy mine again tomorrow!

Second that.

I loved my 8L S3 once I had it chipped but even that wore off after a few months.

I had 2 B6 S4's which were great for 6 months but then became "boring".

After nearly 3 years of RS4 ownership I still get a "buzz" every time I drive it.

The last car I owned that even came close to being "fun" for a long period was a heavily modified Renault 5 GT Turbo that made over 200bhp - but it was built like baked bean can and full of "French quirks" so it had no quality but went like sh*t off a shovel!
