theyr not as common as M3's which is good, but they're loads more common than any other RS model, as MoRS6+ said, I havent yet seen an RS6 since I bought mine, and havent seen a saloon for years ! I do see quite a lot of RS4's, relatively speaking, i.e. in comparison to other Quatto GmbH cars (RS2,4,6,TTqS,R8,Q7V12)

The current RS4 was always going to be a winner as it was up against the old M3 which it beat with a stick and Audi are the cars to be in at the mo. It had the largest UK production run of any RS model and so you're gonna see more than other RS's.

The real rarity will be the new RS6 saloon, apparently only 200 units coming to UK so Ive heard, and at £80k that will be a rare car; but once the TT-RS comes along and RS5, it'll be the same as RS4's - they'll be everywhere, relatively !

I can go weeks without seeing one, then see two or three at once.Still very rare though.See more new M3,S.

Prices do seem to have leveled out which is good.As mentioned all the ones at dealers seem to have crap spec or high mileage!
Good job i have neither :D

Still feel special driving one and after driving my 1.8 A5 loan car i realise how good this car is.. What i like is most of the time the car is only recognised by those "in the know" 8)

Well you say that, but thanks to Top Gear, all the chavs now know what this car is, esp youth, example, group of youth passed my car the other week when I was parked up, and one of them commented "check out the Audi, its a RS4", he could have been a keen eye enthusiast or your average scallywag that's now been clued up even more thanks to TG, but yor right to the average Joe Bloggs, its just another "big Audi".

That's the figure that was quoted on here a few months back.

Something like 1500 Avants, 500 cabrios and 2000 saloons IIRC.

that is a good thing, maybe less so in the RS though due to its success (TG)

my RS 6 is debadged and so i get this effect even more so; but what iv found is anyone else with a fast car knows exactly what it is, twice I'd seen the white of their eyes in their rear view mirror as they realised I was an RS 6 behind them and they gunned it; one was a 911 GT3 and the other was an R8, needless to say neither got away

In 21 months I have seen,
2 cabs
2 avants
3 saloons
1 RS6s (new) That was the one I test drove.
Having said that in a year I have only seen 2 m3s coupe (new).

Where do you live

I walk past three on the short way to the tube station - sadly gathering dirt like mine except at weekends...

I dont think they are a common car by any stretch, i guess it depends where abouts in the country you are, in the middle of manchester i may see a couple more than if i was in Bolton or something like that. I do tend to see a few more saloons than avants though, and hardly any cab's. I have only seen 3 new Rs6's on the road (that includes one that came down here), but they were all in the same day, and havent seen any others since.

Recently, I'm seeing them everywhere. I live in Caterham and see serveral driving around the town. I can garantee I pass at least one on my weekly trip with the family to Bluewater. There are even 3 other RS4's in the station car park with mine (2 Avants and a Cab)!

I guess the worst bit, is half of these seem to be driven by people that don't even appriciate what they have. They look like the classic rep-mobile.

Thoughts???

Paul
Shouldn't you have a Caterham? :)

Aberdeen must be the place for RS4's...

I think there must be between 10 to 15 of them kicking about. Probably a 50/50 split between saloons and avants - not seen any cabs up here (too rainy)

Only seen one new RS6 so far.

Typically, I write I haven't seen any for ages and low and behold, there's a very dirty Mugello blue Avant sitting outside my hotel on London Bridge Street!

Needs a wash like  , BG07 ***, anyone on here (although saying thaty you must either be at a party local or the gym so not likely to read this for a while)?

Don't see many down here in the westcountry although I was very surprised to see another sprint blue cab one day in exeter. First thoughts were someone had stole mine !
I think part of the problem is the RS4 doesn't stand out much more than a standard A4 with s-line kit to those people not in the know. People have said nice audi to me but have no idea it cost £62,000 new and runs a 414 bhp V8. Probably too stealth for my particular requirements hence the new 911 Turbo
