Crikey thats terrible.
I had my old car in last year and the dealer scuffed an alloy had it refurbed, didnt tell me and when i noticed told me that they had scuffed an alloy put a new one on from a car they had in stock but didnt notice that was refurbed, they also cleaned it when i asked them not too and put a few scratches on it.
This country is going tits up, service is <beep> where ever you go. It always seems second rate with the most common problem being no one returns calls.
Good luck and for what its worth i would really make an issue of it. These idiots need to realise that they are accountable.

Didn't realise so many people feel the same as me. I dread my car going in for a service/warranty work as theres always something added for free eg paintwork scratch/dent, interior scuffs etc etc. Its a sad state of affairs that we all seem to feel this way :(
wait for it......

Disgusting, I wish you well with your fight - at least you have stopped any of us going there now, so thank you!

I have to say, I was very impressed with Camberley Audi and they are part of the Colbournes group, as an 'approved' Audi dealer.

I think from this, I'm going to design a sheet - along the lines of the ones the garages have when you have a loan car - that has a diagram of a car on it, comments about any scratches, wheel defects, milage etc and get the service guy to sign it before he gets anywhere near it.

This won't solve the problem of speeding I know but it will (should!) make them think twice about how they treat my car.

If they won't sign it then you know not to take it there anyway.

What do you guys think?

Not trying to add insult to injury, but I think you need to hold Audi UK or Bexley Audi accountable (especially for the speeding) sooner rather than later.

I’d hate for you to receive a NIP through your door for a speeding office of up to 140mph – you certainly do not want the points or ban; then proceeding to Bexley Audi or Audi UK once you have that, I highly doubt they’re likely to own up to it then…

Either way, definitely proceed with this in anyway you can – I like A20LEE’s suggestion…

Graham, I have thought of doing that often. I have given a dealer a note showing the current mileage on the vehicle when handed over for work before now.......just as reminder that "I am watching you!!"

Audi Hitchin already have this form with a diagram and details to fill in like mileage, scratches etc. They do it for their benefit as well as mine as they know what a pain in the ar$e I'll be if they mess with my car.

Anyone know if details of red-line (or 7k limiter) cut-outs are recorded? I know that some manufacturers will void warranty if the engine has been abused, so can VAG-COM tell whether this happened over the dates in question??

Someone asked this recently and Ross-Tech replied that the values are not stored in the ECU (or if they are they don't know anything about it).

I suspect they are stored but that Audi won't tell anyone what is stored, where or how to retrieve it.

Just a thought but if you have a hard copy showing clearly that the car was driven over the limit, you can prove it wasnt you and that it was at the dealer could you not report it to the police?
I would have a word with the local rozzers and see if there is anything they can do to atleast put the frightners up them, rather like when a copper used to come to school and threaten to lock all the kids up who bunk off school.
If this cant be done as well as all of the above suggestions i would find out exactly who drove the car and stand in front of service reception at 9.00 am or 5.00pm asking to talk to the gentleman who drove my car in excess of the speed limit whilst in for a service. I would also TALK IN A VERY LOUD VOICE.

The thing that makes me sick is the fact, where they took the car to take the speed upto 140mph, no way in hell is there enough road space around that area to do that, secondly, the only place they could have done it would have been on the A20 or A2, now as you know that is a few miles away, just the though of some greese monky driving more than 10 miles (lets say) away from the garage (where you think your car is being treated) is enough to make me think twice!

BTW has any one delt with Audi Bromley, I had my break fluid changed in there and thats about it, service I thought was chad..nothing spoecial...I hate to say this but Audicomes no where close to BMW service!
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar

I hate handing the keys over as well. Each time I do I tell them the car is absolutely unmarked with no scratches or dents (which it is!) and ask if they would like to expect it for themselves before I leave.

Although they have never taken me up on the offer the car did come back once with a very minor ding in the wing. I went straight back in to complain and had it sorted for free the next time I was in.

and know very little about the products they work on.My opinion only.

Funny SJ-RS4, I thought my BMW service at Guildford was god awful in comparison... but then I found Guildford Audi to be pretty incompetent!
