How do you know you don't need it?

Several times we've been able to buy large items (e.g. a dishwasher) at a bargain price, but only if we took it away there and then - in an Avant we can and did. In a saloon.......?????
A dishwasher, probably - but a wardrobe - no way lol

Wardrobes of a certain size are no problem, even chests of drawers or a Frideg Freezer in an Avant.

Any full size wardrobe won't fit in any estate car, only a van (BTW IMHO Volvo = van!)

I moved 6 wardrobes in a B6 S4 Avant (2 at a time) when I moved home 4 years ago.

I would never put a dishwasher or a wardrobe in my Avant for fearing of damaging the interior. I might put some shopping bags in the back but that's it.

What's the point in owning a practical car if you are too scared to use it?

My cars are loved and looked after, but driven and used.

Don't worry I use my RS. Scared to use it??? :? just don't think its the tool to carry around dishwashers and wardrobes IMO

I'm lucky as I also have a van that can carry cr@p like that around.

Most of us don't have the luxury of a van as well as a car, so our cars have to carry all the things that a family demands.

well i oved house a few months ago and I wa stoo tight to hire a hire van...I did it moving all my stuff in my RS4 Saloon lol, it toom me like 15 trips and i had no bed or sofa, or come to think of it no fridge/freeza etc etc...but i was suprised with the amount of stuff i could squeze in!

Even when i went to the local tip, you would be amazed at the crap you can squeze in aswell as the looks i was getting at the local dump lol...adding to that, when i was re-doing my garden, my car at one point looked like a Jungle, at one point i had a Banana tree, Palm tree, Jap mapaple tree and a few other assorted bushes and shrubs, local populant of Catford must of thought i was nuts using a 50k car to move my garden plants around lol

so im not scared in using my car as a daily driver, and yes it does get alot of care and attention!
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar

Personally i love the look of both styles - its got to be all about what you want to use it for? I was about to trade it in last week for an oil burner saloon but changed my mind or rather you lot did and from then I have gone from one man one avant to new man new missus 2 kids two additional kiddy seats( must have a look at those baby recaros though!) :) cots, bags of shopping clothes golf clubs and buggies etc and it performed outstandingly well! Clearly a no brainer for me and then at the weekend hurtling down the lanes at Mach 2 impressing the new missus of how well it and I can perfom !! Rs4 Avant - The perfect, original combination of the RS brand. Performance and practicality in harmony. Cant beat it. It badly needs a clean though!
