Milltek rear box replacement

I've not posted before now because I wasn't sure how this was going to pan out to be honest. After my initial extremely good response from the Milltek rep I just wanted to hold fire and wait and see if the back boxes did actually turn up - I'm pleased to say that a very large box turned up at work today (Thursday) with two rear valved boxes plus new clamps and bolts as promised.

So, from Sunday to Thursday is not a bad service in my books! I will fit these at the weekend, I could have got these fitted but to be honest it's not a big deal being the rear boxes only, if it had been the complete system then I would have had them fitted by someone.

Charlie is the rep I spoke to but I'm not sure if he is just the area manager for my area or not but I suppose a quick email or phone call will do the trick.

All in all, a tremendous effort from Milltek and the kind of service that would have me going back to them again.

Glad to see you have been sorted out, what have you done with your original back boxes, sent them back to Milltek?

They are sitting in my garage at the moment but I shall be giving them to The TT Shop on Saturday so that the rep can pick them up from there when he is next passing.

I was offered the black tips but kindly said no as not only do I not have the optics but I just don't fancy the idea of a coating of any colour on the exhaust tips purely because to me that is something else that might go wrong later on - it probably won't but I just didn't fancy the idea - each to their own though.

I know what you mean Graham, but my car has Optics (looks awesome on a Sprint Blue motor:):)) & had the dark tips OEM so it makes sense to revert to the standard option pack. It has taken Milltek well over 12mths to get the coating right so i guess their's every chance they've got it right, so time will tell. At least it lessens the cleaning burden for a while;)

Will be a couple of weeks before it's fitted as i'm on holiday next week, but i'll report back with piccies then. I've not yet seen a dark tipped Milltek so looking forward to getting it.

Pity, because if you didn't hve to giv them back I would have had them off you. Didn't realise that you had to give them back to Milltek.

All sorted, rear sections replaced & fitted at Awesome yesterday morning & TBH i'm very pleased to be back with the Optics rear section.

10/10 for Milltek customer service.
