I have a deal with the mrs. I can use 'S' whenever I want, but not within the boundaries of our village as it'll "annoy the neighbours"...

Same here - I'm "expected" to drive with Sport mode on,
...but the first thing she does when she drives our RS4 is to make sure Sport mode is off!

one of the conditions of having the RS4 was in her words "not black and no silly seats with wings and holes in them" one thing she never asked was what size is the engine! Not that it would mean anything to her!

Agree that men will never understand us wimmin. I wouldn't say that the RS4 sport button can be associated with venom though (unlike me at certain times).
It is a great engine noise - just a shame it sounds better on the outside of the car than in.

Hello, wow this has to be a first, I thought this was a men only site - only kiddin!.
Venom and women go together like peaches and cream! "Sounds better on the outside than in". Oh to have a wife that was half interested either way. Alex
P.s is it your rs4?

It is indeed my RS4. Went into the showroom for a girly S3 testdrive, saw the RS4 and its been a love affair ever since.
Do have panic attacks now and again for splurging such cash on said beast, however, it could be worse - I could be into shoes and handbags but I'm not - I'd have a V8 anyday.

I've an RS4 and I'm afraid my wife also pointed to it and asked "what is it for"?.
As I explained, I realised how SAD it actually sounded....
As good as the noise is....I'm afraid the "S" button does remain a little saddo in my opinion.
Nothing will put a women off more than you clicking this button and booting it off down the road.
It's the equivalent of pulling on a pair of string driving gloves I'm afraid.
Kristin Scott Thomas would not be impressed, but Kerry Katona would. Says it all really.
