Reversing Lights

OK then, so it seems that it is only the Cabriolets that have only the one reversing light.

Funny though, because up to now I wouldn't have thought it was that bleedin' obvious.

Actually you should have only 1 working reverse light - so people can tell at a glance that you are reversing and not coming head on. Having said that both my Audis have 2 that light up, but my VWs had 1 so don't worry about it.

AFAIK it's NOT illegal to have 2 reversing lights - or if it is then a significant proportion of cars on the road are illegal (thinking of vehicles we have owned in the last seven years - 8L S3, Mercedes Sprinter [x2], B6 S4[x2], B7 RS4, Citroen Saxo, Skoda Fabia, Vauxhall Astra, Vauxhall Vectra) they ALL had/have 2 reversing lights. In fact, only 1 car we've driven in all that time had only 1 reversing light - a Chevrolet Matiz.

IIRC the law was changed some 10 odd years ago in Poland - and I seem to have read somewhere this used to apply to various other countries. Its legal now though.
