I have the full BT in my S4 and think it's great.
£400 to fit, if I didn't have it then I'd get it, can't be bad for all the bits and work needed to fit them bits.

Sorry mods - craigyb is THE expert in the UK on retrofitting sat nav systems to Audis, and to deprive this site of his expertise is IMHO a act of folly.s4woody wrote:http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... ic&t=63693

For those interested craigyb is still very active on several other websites ... (I won't say which in case the mods ban me too!).

I'm new to this website thing but I thought that the idea was for people to get help from other users and if possible to give help when they can
Re: RE: Re: I have no cradle, but do I still have bluetooth?
I have a Pearl and experienced the same issues described above with the 550 version of RNS-E software, however I upgraded the car to version 600 software last week and now under the "Memory" menu the "Received calls" "Missed calls" etc sub-menus all work brilliantly.Nickm wrote:Blackberry Pearl - You get the phone book, but the received calls list and dialled numbers seem to generate at random. Sometimes the last dialled number enters into the list. Still pretty useable.
The Blackberry 8800 operates as above as well.
The retrofit is definitely worth the price IMHO

Sean what was the cost to upgrade to version 600?simmo wrote:I have a Pearl and experienced the same issues described above with the 550 version of RNS-E software, however I upgraded the car to version 600 software last week and now under the "Memory" menu the "Received calls" "Missed calls" etc sub-menus all work brilliantly.Nickm wrote:Blackberry Pearl - You get the phone book, but the received calls list and dialled numbers seem to generate at random. That's very strange - I am on 600 version software and the 8800 generates its own lists!have a Pearl and experienced the same issues described above with the 550 version of RNS-E software, however I upgraded the car to version 600 software last week and now under the "Memory" menu the "Received calls" "Missed calls" etc sub-menus all work brilliantly.

CraigB installed BT in mine today. Also upgraded software to version 600 and host of other Vagcom jobs. Couldnt recommend him enough. Quality chap.

RE: Re: I have no cradle, but do I still have bluetooth??
Just a thought do you have the flat bottom steering wheel? as i believe if you don't it means you have the phone prep under the armrest...Hi guys
Have my RS4 1 week today and lovin it. I have a question re bluetooth with my MMI screen thingmayjigger.
When I select "tel" it asks me to use my mobile phone. Audi tells me today that unless I have a cradle (I don't) then I do not have bluetooth. The previous owner has a flimsy little Nokia thing that I can connect with and still get bluetooth over the speakers etc, but the functionality of my screen is nil.
My brother has a new A6 Le Mans and he can use the Nav Screen to see his numbers, dial number, etc etc. Its a class feature that I like / want.
So, am I stumped? Is there no way I can buy software etc to activate the bluetooth feature of the MMI screen without a cradle?? Am I stuck with the Nokia "kit"?
Any help / advice appreciated.
Thanks
Ronan
