Mine has recently developed this after 17K miles. Before (a few weeks ago) it was fine. My guess is that it is dirty plugs.

Paul,
Did holding the clutch in make a difference or is it something else?

I don't suffer with any oddities when on the move & the DMS Map has gone a long way to improve in-gear thrust & any issues with hesitation, this is purely when 1st starting the car when the engine is cold every now & again.
W8PMC , I would say check the car in as mine is also a "March build" and Mines got to have an ECU upgrade!!! on wednesday, bit of misfire on cold starts (not all) once warm it's OK.

NOT So.
You have to hold the clutch in to start the car, agreed. However if you lift off the clutch too soon the car does indeed stall (actually it electronically cuts out)

I can say for sure that it's not happened since posting & i have been holding the clutch down when starting for an extra couple of seconds. Is this the cure?? i can't say but so far all is well.

I know 100% that the dealer i purchased my car from, applied all updates due up to the date of collection. If a new software update has become available since the 1st week of May then i defo don't have that.
