I asked the crap salesman about alarm beep and he had no idea what I was talking about, I will look at the thread re flash screen and try to talk to the tech when I get there... feel like xmas eve

good point re vag.com

get them to put the RS4 welcome screen on the RNSE rather than the naff Audi MMI screen
get them to turn off the infuriating VAG central locking thing where you have to pres twice to open any door other than drivers
autolock was std on mine but I don;t like this either so will get that switched off too

Anyone know the Vagcom codes for these?

Here's how to change the startup screen on your RNS-E to match your car - It appears to work only with SW 0500 or later (nice to have the RS4 startup screen now!).

The value in Adaptation Channel 018 controls the Startup Screen:

0 = Standard Start Screen
1 = Audi S3 Start Screen
2 = Audi S4 Start Screen
3 = Audi RS4 Start Screen
4 = Audi TT Start Screen

Please note that after changing the startup screen you will need to reboot the RNS-E (save a value of 1 in Adaptation Channel 111 or hold RADIO and SETUP until it reboots).

Well, picked up the car today, took a print out form the navplus.us forum, the salesman and senior tech knew nothing of the alternate flash screens, got mine working OK, they seemed chuffed to bits to learn something.. glad I turned up!! ;o)

Car fantastic, defo made the right decision on sports Recaro's not buckets, if I could only get the feckin SD card sorted I would be a happy man!
