Having done 187 mph GPS inidicated in another german car.(see avitar)......... IN GERMANY, all I can add is that 282 kph is plenty quick enough. Will see what mine does now standard on the rollers, and again after it has been 'fettled' next week..........

I have done 305km/h GPS in France and I loved it. Would have gone for more but was going uphill, car was just tuned and I didn't want to take any chances of something happening at those speeds with no ABS...

You are not alone. My standard B5 used to do 163mph before the limiter kicked in. The day of the REVO trial map I easy had 180mph before I had to slow down. So 190 at least on the clock is possible. In reality I'm sure the gear ratios only allow it to just over 180mph.

Hhhmm sorry guys just realised we are not really supposed to be talking about the B5.

MRC,
I have seen your car and doubt it does 306KPH, but your Saxo, well you Mums Saxo to be precise, now thats a different story, what a car!
Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
