Anyone considered upgrading the RS4 Alarm\Imobiliser

No offence to the memory of your friend or to Dalton they were awful crimes but neither of these were car jackings of the sort the alarm is designed to prevent.
They were street robberies where the intent was to get the car not someones bag or mobile. Its the same as the people breaking into your house to get the keys. An anti car jacking system would make little difference in any of these cases.
And the fact that the press talks about it is not the same thing as it being prevalent. How many can we say have definitely happened? two?
Mugging is prevalent where I live, so too is gun crime neither get in more than the local rag and there has not been one single case of a car jacking in this part of London that my contacts in police intelligence can find either officially or unofficially.
My point was. Don't fight over your car, drop the keys (then the insurance company can't say you were assisting) walk away and buy a new car with the insurance thats what its there for.

I have a clifford 950 on mine no problems

K5Turbo - did you have the entire standard system removed and replaced by the Clifford or did they manage to add on parts?

The standard alarm is still fited but disconected and the clifford replaces it as it has a different loom so if you ever come t sell the car you can get the standard 1 hooked back up n get your clifford out so you can use it again n again as ive just done i have just had it put on my rs4 but it used t be on my s4!
As for addons you have a few things extra you can choose with the clifford , i have got on mine tilt n motion sensors ,proximety sensors and a good thing 4 the winter auto start i dont know about anti hijack as i aint looked in to it!
