Country Road Blasts..

Did a track day a few weeks ago and returned 8.3 mpg for the 85 miles I did on the track!!!!

Thought the GT3 would be quicker but surprised it trounced you. Had a play with the mark 1 GT3 the other day from 70 up to silly speeds and there wasnt much in it and I could hear that he was canning it!

FYI 21.8 MPG to Cornwall. 6 hour journey A30 was a nightmare, quite glad I had the TV option fitted.

Davey B, here is one for you, if you feel like a hooligan one evening..
When coming down the monskpath hall road towards the field house from shirley side, as you pass the last road on your right (one with the shops precinct on it - shelly crescent is it?) absolutely hoon it down the hill in 3rd gear, and you will touch just under triple figures as you go through the face fronting camera and the funny thing is, it goes off, as you pass it, so you're out of camera shot! mint.. have more then ample time to come back down to normal level speed before the island.. obviously only do this at night when noone is around...

You can do this on streetsbrook road too, but obviously not as high speed, on that camera the first shot gets you, but you're out of camera shot on the second flash, i love wasting their film reels by doing this..

You're a brave man Kam, although I know forward facing camera's can't get you, you're certainly going to attract some attention if they get a number plate shot. Interesting that they should go off at all actually, I thought they were trigged by road sensors and if so, why are they trigged when you are on the opposite side of the road? Unless you are on the opposite side of the road?

My favourite place for a quick fix is coming out of Solihull on the Warwick Road to the island by Brueton Park and then hoofing it round onto the bypass. 110 my best effort so far. Make a quick glance for the boys in blue who sometimes wait in the exit to the car park for Brueton park.

Yep know that spot well.. use it myself sometimes when im in the mood! also applies in the other direction as well.. coming out of knowle over the motorway island, and the hoof it around the entry lane of the bypass, then accelerate all the way down the bypass then turn off, gradually slow on entry to the bend, and let it roll up to the island.. last bit of fun on the 90 degree turn in, into warwick road.... then relax.. sport off and into 5th..
