Hard one to answer as so early but there is no logic having an uncomfortable seat in a saloon, unless used as a second car - again that will go down to personal choice.

I'm sure some people do find the buckets uncomfortable, but for me they are supremely comfortable, as they will be for a lot of RS4 drivers. It isn't therefore an issue of "logic".
I still suspect that the resale of Recaro equipped cars will be significantly harder to achieve / command a lower price than the bucket ones (in the case of the tin topped variants anyway).

Dont think it is an issue, it is personal preference..... mine has buckets which are fine once in them, I do find getting a hard bolster up the chuff quite a wake up call..........
Sat in Daz's cabrio and found his seats very comfortable too, normal recaros....
I am still convinced the seats in the B5 a more comfortable on long journeys, I tend to find I am adjusting my seating position all the time in the B7 to keep comfortable..... 4 hrs is the longest I have sat in the B7, did Calais to Frejus (785 miles) in one sitting with B5 and got out the far end with no discomfort. Not soo sure that would be the case with B7
