Poverty Spec.....no limited production numbers and still no price. I am having second thoughts.

I'm with you on that Simon.

I had my name down on the basis it was well priced, well specced and a fairly limited supply....which it plainly isn't now...so my interest ends there as a new car purchase...

I've got my name down for the RS4, switching from an M3. However with the new M3 due out towards the end of next year, and a saloon version to come i'm having 2nd thoughts. This appears to be an expensive A4. Dealers are now asking for £1500 deposit on a car with no fixed price, do AUDI UK think we are mugs??

really can't belive you need to sepnd another £5,000 for sat nav, cruise (whic, to be honest, deson't really work well in a manual) and stuff

Are audi taking the piss??.. I reckon they might be

Totally agree (apart from the bit about cruise which works fine in a manual!)

I am hearing the base price can start at around £44,999. As stated above, the list for options and accessories is as long as a swimming pool. No one is quite sure how much this RS4 B7 will be priced with a decent amount of accessories. I am predicting the price for a well-equipped RS4 B7 will be around £52,000.

I hope you are right, but expect you to be £4-5k under.

I am not sure DavidT, I was told by a source of mine that it won't start that high, at least I hope not. HAHA!

Strange. My source at Audi told me in early 2004 that the price difference to the S4 was going to be "considerable".

Scotty, same with mine again. My source at Audi told me the price was not going to be that expensive for the U.S., but I am having second thoughts about him, because I have now been hearing that the price is an unknown and Audi is still not sure what they are going to price the RS4 Saloon at. I really hope it is not over $60,000. I am guessing Audi would not price it over that because its target audience would significantly change. I would have to say I am with Gareth too. The options/accessories are ridiculous. I have never seen anything like this.

well, given that the current s4 sedan (as you call it in the US) is around 37k GBP compared to around 47k USD, maybe you might get the B7 RS4 for less than 60k USD. Time will tell.

That is true. I am going to contact a dealer and see what they say. My source in the U.K. has no clue what the price will be though.

LITTLE DICKY tells me that the saloon will be £55K and the Avant £58K. As with the B5, by the time you have finished ticking boxes you could add about £6k to the final bill. Dont forget that the B5 was nearly £50K fully fitted four years ago.....

Simple1, what would you guess for prices in the U.S. That is where I live and I am wondering what the MSRP will be over here.
